Indoor Sports

The legacy left by the Mediterranean Games in Almería in 2005 is a high-level facility complex, namely the Palacio de Los Juegos Mediterráneos (Mediterranean Games Palace). This, together with other training facilities, such as the Pabellón Infanta Cristina de Roquetas, the Pabellón de Deportes de El Ejido, the Palacio de los Deportes de Vícar or the Pabellón Moisés Ruiz in Almería, are installations that have already hosted national and international competitions at the highest level in sports such as volleyball, a traditional discipline in Almería, handball, basketball, gymnastics or indoor football.

Almería also offers a large number of secondary sports pavilions that allow localities such as Almería city, Roquetas de Mar, El Ejido or the Vera-Mojácar area to be considered as the perfect venues for holding Spanish championships with a large competition capacity.
